Presentation at the Presidential Palace in Taiwan
President Ma received congratulations from the special Canadian parliamentary representatives in the Presidential Palace on May 20. Canadian Federal Congressman, Liang, presented the painting “The spirit of Dragon & Horse” created by Taiwanese-Canadian artist Michelle Lan to President Ma in this meaningful meeting. The painting represents luck and the people’s expectation of President Ma who has been elected in the year of Dragon (Ma means “Horse” in Mandarin). President Ma appreciates this art work very much and replies with a smile, “My wife was born in the year of the Dragon!”
